Post-class reflections

I did not have time to write this journal beforehand. I did not write down any lesson objectives nor teaching objectives. What I did in this lesson was:

1) to check the answers for the rest of questions in the previous lesson (15min),
2) to review what ss learned in the previous lesson, using the handout (10min),
3) to check the answers of the handout (5min),
4) to make ss write down the answers for 11 composition exercises on the board (10min),
5) to explain these exercises (10min).

The lesson was a kind of the worst. The class had to be finished in 45 min, but I exceeded 5minutes. What was worse, the procedure seemed monotonous, probably because I had any teaching objective. I had this lesson without any special focus or purpose. This was what I had felt for the lessons that I had had before I started this journal.
Maybe, the reason why I felt monotonous for my lesson is within my heart, rather than in the lesson content, procudure, or ss' reaction.
If I should blame myself for being idle more severely, I would surely quite this journal. So let's call it a day. Tomorrow is another day. I should have thought of the lesson and teaching objectives beforehand, which I have learned from this lesson.
